Safety and Security
Safety is one of our top priorities. To ensure the safety of every child who experiences GO!, certain policies are carefully followed.
1. All volunteers are trained and screened. They are required to complete a full background check, and must follow our safety and security procedures at all times.
2. A secure check-in and check-out policy is strictly adhered to. Parents/guardians are given an ID card when children are checked in to their classrooms. Upon check-out they must show this ID. Children will not be released to an adult unless proper identification is provided.
3. Parents can be easily contacted while in the main worship service at Suncrest by a numerical paging system that displays on the main screen.
4. A member of our ‘Medical Ministry’ team (a trained medical professional) is on hand during services and events should a medical emergency arise.
5. A member of our Security Team is on alert and available during services in case a situation arises where security personel is needed.
6. We have a clear evacuation plan for Fire and Severe weather. This plan is posted in each room, and we run a drill at least once a year to make sure our volunteers are confident in the procedure. Please see our Fire and Severe weather evacuation plans posted here and be aware of where to pick up your child(ren) in the event of an evacuation.
