Hey Suncrest,
I am flying high today. Why? Because last night we had an incredible turn-out of leaders from all areas of our church. I wrote about it on my blog this morning so I’ll let you click to read it later if you want. I just can’t get the energy, the vision, and the passion out of my head!
And we talked about some big plans for next year… I’ll share more details about those plans as they firm up and once we get all of our leaders in the loop.
I can say this: At the center of those plans is “The Jesus Mission”. Every account we have of Jesus on earth concludes with Him saying it is your calling and my calling to advance the gospel everywhere. It’s not the only important thing in the life of a Christ-follower, but I think it is the most important! Maybe it is most clear in His very last words:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." -Acts 1:8
The beginning of our “Waiting Room” series last Sunday stirred more conversations than I could have imagined. I hope you’ll be there again this week because we move to an ultra-practical step of how to handle your season of “Waiting”.
Can’t wait to see you here!
Greg
PS…More details about our leaders gathering are on my blog and though it isn’t there as I type this, I hope to FINALLY have a reflection on my experience with the “Day of the Dead” in Mexico by the time you visit the site. If you are interested, click here.
