In the  book of Acts, thousands of people were convicted of their sin after hearing Peter preach.  They asked in response, "What must we do to be saved?"  Peter's response is this:

"Repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sin and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38)."

Baptism is the physical and public act of declaring your faith in Christ.

Baptism is a response to God's Grace through Christ.

Baptism is a physical symbol of Christ’s death, burial and Resurrection.  

Baptism serves as a stake in the ground for our faith. 

It is a physical expression of an inward reality. 

It is a statement to all who witness that their life is in Christ’s hands.
