Hey Suncrest,

Are you ready for a refreshing weekend?  I hope you have one as a family, but I promise if you are at worship this Sunday you will be refreshed.  The service this weekend is a combination of worship and teaching, and reflection, and celebration.

And…we have a lot to celebrate.  Your generosity to the Jesus Mission on Sunday just confirmed for me how unselfish our church is.  I actually get a physical “shiver” every time I think about the sacrifice people in our church are making for something that will not personally benefit ourselves.  I have a front row seat to watch people take this journey with our leaders to “give up things that mean the world to us for things that mean the world to God.”

You will all be getting a letter in the mail about the total amount committed to The Jesus Mission, but that will actually be old news by the time you get it.  More commitments keep coming in. As of right now, our total in commitments has moved past $330,000.  Our total goal is $400,000 so as people keep making commitments and gifts they are difference-makers.

With these commitments and knowing more will come in, the campus launches are in full gear.  This Sunday night about 80 people will get together for the first gathering of the Highland Launch Team.  It’s not too late to jump in with this if you want, just email jared.mehrle@suncrest.org if you are interested.

There is more, but you need to get outside and enjoy this day!  Before you do, just make sure to click on my blog below for a cool announcement about Debby Albrecht being added to our children’s ministry staff.  We feel VERY amazed that God has brought us someone with her experience and leadership capacity.

Greg

PS…As mentioned, the post about Debby is on my blog AND I posted the video that we used on Sunday telling the Suncrest story.  Had some great comments on that, so if you are interested, click here.~
